Creative Dance Classes:
developed to encourage movement and expressions for our tiniest of dancers. Creative classes are age appropriate and teach dance throught the guise of play. We keep our classes small so that each child feels special. At the end of each year, we hold a special "mini-recital" just for them. Children are able to show-off for parents & grandparents all they have learned in a bright, relaxed environment.

Mighty Mights: is a martial arts class designed with the younger child in mind. Children 3 - 6 years old benefit from these classes by working on balance, flexibility, gross and fine motor control. Concentration, focus, as well as listening skills and following directions will improve while learning aspects of martial arts. For those children who are a bit shy, this program will help with increasing self-confidence, and for the child who is always "active" this program will help "get the wiggles out." Martial arts kicks and punches will be introduced as well as Childrens' self defense. Many exercises that will increase flexibility and strength will also be included, and as with all martial arts, respect for others is emphasized. Tumbling is also utilized in this class.

                                          SCHOOL AGE CLASSES
Ballet:
A technique driven art form that teaches balance and grace. Our classes focus on core strength and technique as an art form. No tricks here, just solid technique!

Contemporary: Take ballet and lyrical and add it to our pop culture. An expressive form of dance, contemporary gives the dancer an opportunity to speak without words.

Jazz: Jazz Jazz dance is a classification shared by a broad range of dance styles. Jazz dancing is a form of dance that showcases a dancer's individual style and originality. Every jazz dancer interprets and executes moves and steps in their own way. Jazz dancing is energetic and fun, consisting of unique moves, fancy footwork, big leaps and quick turns. To excel in jazz, dancers need a strong background in
ballet, as it encourages grace and balance.

Hip Hop: Most commonly thought as "street dance" - hip hop gives the dancer lessons in "popping, locking, breaking and krumping." While hip hop has evolved from the breakdance era, most of the moves are done standing up. It is advisable to wear knee pads for this class - just in case!

Lyrical: Lyrical dance style has its primary basis in ballet, combining the many technical elements of
classical ballet with an element of jazz, contemporary and modern dance. Lyrical dance has an expressive and dynamic approach, focused on conveying musicality and emotion through movement. Older students are required to take a ballet class in additional to lyrical.

Pointe: Take ballet and add shoes that place the dancer up on their toes. A ballet class is necessary if you wish to do pointe. It is best if you take several other classes throughout the week to strengthen ankles and core muscles for best results.

Tap: a form of dance which uses the sound of one's shoes hitting the floor as a percussive instrument. As such, it is also commonly considered to be a form of music. Two major variations on tap dance exist: rhythm (Jazz) tap and Broadway tap. Broadway tap focuses more on the dance, and is widely performed as a part of musical theater. Rhythm tap focuses more on musicality, and dancers are more in line with the Jazz tradition.
